International Women’s Day
International Women’s Day (IWD) has been a recognized day of celebration and admiration since 1911, the result of both political and cultural movements. Today IWD is stronger than ever with movements such as the “Me Too”, “Times Up” and “This Girl Can” campaigns furthering the cause and helping the world take progressive steps towards a fair, diverse and equal society.
While there is still much work to do, progress is being made in the right direction, and conversations surrounding gender equality, inclusion and diversity are crucial drivers of change.
About Onalytica’s Data
Onalytica maps and ranks “influence” as a subjective measurement. Its proprietary discovery platform mines over 200 billion posts a year, compiling them into a curated database boasting over 700,000 social media influencers from around the world, across six platforms including behemoths such as Twitter and Facebook.
As it relates to gender equality and diversity, Onalytica utilized a robust Boolean search query of their data looking at over 9.2M tweets between March 3rd 2018 – March 3rd 2019 to use as their core data set. They then identified the top 100 most influential individuals leading the discussion on equality and diversity in the workforce.
