Dozens of organizations have given the 4-day workweek a try. It may sound counterintuitive, but many studies reveal that reduced working hours lead to better outcomes. Microsoft Japan and Perpetual Guardian in New Zealand show that a shorter workweek can significantly enhance productivity and employee engagement. These experiments challenge the traditional belief that more hours mean better results.

To combat this, innovative leaders are embedding ‘disconnect policies’ into their organizational cultures.
