Position location: Washington DC Metro area
Key responsibilities: Serves as the Senior Data Scientist in support of a large federal agency. Provides quantitative contributions in support of studies and analyses related to employee engagement challenges relevant to a specific workforce. Provides specific quantitative expertise required for high-level analytical assignments focused on human capital data to support assessments, identification of trends, comparison of alternatives, and forecasts of key human capital indicators. Exploit large data pools with survey and HR data. Run regressions and other statistical analyses. Support development of root cause diagnoses and test different remediation actions for best results over time.
Experience: The Senior Data Scientist must have technical skills to support data analysis of large volumes of data. Must have demonstrated knowledge / experience in the following:
Minimum Educational / Degree Requirements: BA/BS required, MA/MS required in Economics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Quantitative Business Methods, Econometrics, Psychometrics, IO Psychology, Demographics, Sociology or related field.
Applicable Training or Certification Requirements: Operations research professional, applied mathematician, applied econometrician, quantitative economist/IO psychologist, applied psychometrician.
Security Clearance: Security Clearance is desirable. Must be capable of passing Federal Department / Agency Suitability Review or Contractor Background Investigations
Travel: Local travel within DC Metro area will be required regularly. Domestic travel will be required.
